Now Live: The newly optimized Tumblr web view for iPad
Long overdue but I’m glad it’s finally here. Still wish the native iOS app was iPad compatible though. Since you can’t upload photos, videos or audio trough the iPad’s browser. Interesting enough the iPad optimized UI does not recognize this.

Tumblr Experiment: Photo Replies
For the next 48 hours, you can let your followers reply to your posts with photos. Just check “Let people photo reply” when posting. Have fun!
Tip: When you see the camera icon in your Dashboard, you can drag-and-drop a photo from you desktop onto the icon to upload it immediately.
Hmm.. unlike the recently added Q&A option I don’t really see the point to this.. really easy to turn a blog into a NSFW blog this way… Let’s see how this works out.
So today is Indie Relief day. If you didn’t hear about it yet, shame on you ! I wasn’t really looking for any new software but this charity thing convinced me now was a good time to spend some money on a Indie App that I was probably going to buy in the future.
I opted to buy Ego, and am still eye-balling some others. Allot has been written about Ego already so I won’t write another review here. I agree with the consensus that Ego is a nice little well designed app that does exactly what it promises to do.
One thing I will note though is this.

Why am I mentioning this ? well I tried to set-up my Vimeo account but ran into some issue. So decided to take them up on that line and send them an e-mail. Now here is the thing. I got a reply within an hour from Garret Murray explaining what went wrong and how to resolve my issue.
In my mail I also made a request for Tumblr support, my favorite site. Garret also quite clearly explained to me why Tumblr support wasn’t possible at this time and that once Tumblr makes changes in their API he’d be more than happy to include it.
So big thumbs up to Garret for the quick reply and Tumblr, what are you waiting for, when can we see those API changes ? ;)
