There has been no shortage of people trying to come up with a new notification system for iOS because, let’s face it, the current notification system sucks and people want better. I haven’t really found any valid suggestions to how this problem can be solved. All proposed ideas I’ve seen so far felt like “hacks”. Andreas Hellqvist is the latest to give the notification system in iOS a shot. Unlike the other proposed solutions he decided to stick to stock iOS controls which gives his solution a more native feel. There is however no doubt in my mind that Apple will release or at-least announces a new notification system for iOS 5 during WWDC this year.
