Progress

I’d like to give a quick update on what I’m up to and how I’m making progress on my personal projects. As you could read earlier I’m doing some RoR (Reading on Rails to do some Ruby on Rails later). I have a great book and I’ve got off to a great start with the framework.

As I’ve mentioned before on my wordpress blog I’m planning on making a simplified version of my iGoogle-like widgetframework in RoR just to give Rails a try. That project has been put on hold however in order to make room for another small RoR project which I’m going to be doing with a old school buddy of mine. The goal is to have this up and running within a month. I’ll be posting more details on my experience with that soon so stay posted.

You can also keep track of what I’m reading over at Readernaut if you’re interested. For those of you who don’t know Readernaut, Readernaut is a nice new service that I disocvered recently. The site allows you to:

“Share your reading experience by writing notes, tracking progress, and engaging in meaningful discussions with friends.”

It’s basically a social network for reading books where you share your experience about books you’ve read and create a list of books you still want to read.
