Tablet wishes
Let me start off by saying that I, obviously, don’t have any knowledge whatsoever about future apple products. Everything written in this article is merely an opinion and a lot of wishful thinking. My iPhone really changed my day to day life. I used to carry around my laptop everywhere I went. I’m an internet addict and can’t spend a day without e-mail. All my news I get...

Facebook Gives Harman His Name Back, Apologizes →
Follow up to my previous post on this situation. I’m not quite sure if this is a case of “ends well, all well” or “to little to late”. Not so sure we would have seen the same result without the media coverage. What do you think ?

Pen v keyboard v Newton v Graffiti v Treo v iPhone... →
minimalmac: For some time I’ve been meaning to test my small collection of PDA/smartphone gadgets to see which of their methods of input was quickest. The iPhone’s software keyboard? The Newton’s handwriting recognition? Palm’s Graffiti? With the possible imminent arrival of a tablet from Apple that will save the world, it seemed a good time to get round to the test. Fascinating and I am also...

Ego app
So today is Indie Relief day. If you didn’t hear about it yet, shame on you ! I wasn’t really looking for any new software but this charity thing convinced me now was a good time to spend some money on a Indie App that I was probably going to buy in the future. I opted to buy Ego, and am still eye-balling some others. Allot has been written about Ego already so I won’t...

Bumptop for Mac →
Bumptop for mac was just released. I played around with this on windows before and found it less of an annoyance then I initially expected. It was actually pretty use-full. I’m glad it has a real mac-app now :)

Dropbox announces 4 million users →
I’m glad they are doing well. I’ve used them from almost the beginning and they are awesome! Use it on a daily basis and their integration with both windows and mac is flawless. Also very useful on my iPhone. Best of luck dropbox.

Experiment results
minimalmac: As promised, here are the survivors of my little iPhone home screen experiment. I promised to do the same. Here is my result: As you can see, allot has changed. It was however within the line of expectation for me. A lot of apps moved from page 2 to page 1 and some were moved all the way to the last page. Unlike my fellow experimenter I don’t use my contacts as a gateway...

Bill Gates Surpasses 100,000 Twitter Followers in... →
So incase you missed the news, Bill Gates (re-)joined the social network world by (re-)joining Facebook & Twitter. So after big sites like TechCrunch, Engadget and CNet brought this story apparently he managed to get 100.000 followers on twitter in a mere 8 hours. Now that’s an accomplishment. Edit: He’s on 163k already :)

Stock and Flow →
chrisbowler: Robin Sloan knocks the ball out of the park with this overview on online media today: Flow is the feed. It’s the posts and the tweets. It’s the stream of daily and sub-daily updates that remind people that you exist. and: Stock is the durable stuff. It’s the content you produce that’s as interesting in two months (or two years) as it is today. It’s what people discover via...

Teaching Gestures →
Lukas Mathis wrote an excellent piece on teaching multi touch gestures. I while back I wrote a short post about Multi Touch enhancers. I also wrote I was going to give all of them a try and post my findings later. So what happened ? Well, the first enhancer I tried was JiTouch 2, which Lukas also writes about, and I loved it so much I never uninstalled it to give the others a try. Lukas...

Next week's Apple event to be iLife / iPhone OS... →
Yeah my bet is also on that. I was thinking that a remade iLife could be a vital part of the Tablet. Nobody knows why you would need a tablet and what you would use it for. But if there is one product that could convince you, that you actually need a tablet. It’s a great version of iLife.

Telerik introduces PITS →
“What is PITS? Telerik public issue tracking system (PITS) keeps track of issues that are important to you and your team. You can use this system to suggest bug reports, track their status and search for existing issues related to Telerik Products. Facebook 3.1 for iPhone
Today Facebook released a new version of their iPhone app brining it up to version 3.1. They have also finally included a feature I have been waiting for, for a long time. Push notifications. As you can see on the picture you can easily customize for which events you want to receive push notifications. It took them a long time to get it implemented but I’m happy it finally arrived. Push...
